An Italian Dream

Val d'Orcia

Val d'Orcia is located in the southern part of the province of Siena in Tuscany, Italy. The name is derived from the river Orcia. Since 2004, the Val d'Orcia has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The aesthetics of the landscape inspired many artists. During the Renaissance, the area provided numerous motifs for landscape paintings, especially for the artists of the

Siena School. Their paintings deal with the beauty of agricultural areas and the harmony between man and nature. Walking along the paths of artists seems like a journey through time, the beauty of which cannot be missed. At this time of the year the lush green had already withered away, but this gave the whole picture an even more timeless aesthetic.
